Denim and White Bedroom Decor
As I mentioned in my Main BEDROOM REVEAL POST, I wanted to proceed the vibe in this room cozy and calm, which for me equates to a neutral color palette and minimal decor. I was determined to create a comfortable spot for James and I to relax after a long day. I brought this vision to life with a comfy bed, crips linens and cozy seating area. In today's post I'll be sharing links to everything we used to decorate this room, along with sources to hardware and lighting!
All the FURNITURE in this room is linked in my post Dwelling Bout: Primary BEDROOM REVEAL. For more home inspo, follow me on Instagram at @redwhiteanddenim and the hashtag #RWDHome.
RUG
I ever envisioned having a cowhide rug somewhere in our home. One time our article of furniture arrived and was fix in the room, I knew our chief bedroom would be the perfect spot for it. We went with a neutral colored (white/brown/cream) cowhide to blend with other pieces in the room. Despite its muted colors, the texture of this carpeting really pops against our natural oak floors. It also feels overnice and soft on your feet! I grabbed some matching pillows to use on our accent chairs.
This stunning cowhide carpeting comes in iv colors. I also linked a 'save' option below!

BEDDING
I always envisioned our bed having clean, crisp, white linens so I went with a washed linen duvet cover and matching shams for the base layer of bedding. I layered a lightweight quilt over the foot of the bed to bring in a slight variation of color and texture.
Since this bed needs to be made every twenty-four hour period, I wanted to keep the pillow arrangement simple. Backside the ii king shams I have the pillows we use to sleep on. In the front, I added two lumbar pillows in a similar chenille fabric equally the headboard of our bed. I institute these at Homegoods, but linked a similar option below.
DECOR
If you've toured whatsoever of the other rooms in my home, you know my style is classic and minimalist. I love having just enough decor to make a room feel lived in and cozy, without having too much unnecessary "stuff".
On one bedside table I added a few old books stacked with a wooden catch-all basin. The bowl is used to hold nighttime essentials like my phone/alarm clock, chapstick, diffuser remote, etc.
The table on the opposite side of the bed holds a jewelry dish, crystal rock and framed family photograph. This photo is meaning because information technology was taken the twenty-four hour period before nosotros moved into the business firm – sitting in our principal bedchamber right where our bed is now. We lost our little Jackson only a few months after moving in, so this photo holds a special place in my eye.
I decorated our accent tabular array with a mix of antique candlesticks and erstwhile books – both very affordable means to style your tabletop! The antiquarian candlesticks were a flea market find, only I linked an identical option below. The books were purchased at several library book sales – my favorite place to purchase coffee table way books! They were $ii – $3 each (In this instance I was lucky to notice 3 of the aforementioned to stack!)
I also added a terrarium for my air plants. Terrariums are a pretty fashion to display these easy to intendance for botanicals. I but mist them with water in one case a calendar week!
There's no ameliorate way to stay organized than with cute baskets! I needed something to agree books and magazines and this woven beauty did the trick. This is a Homegoods observe, just I plant a similar size/shape basket that I linked below.
– Salvage VS SPLURGE –
I of my favorite additions to this space was the oversized mirror nosotros placed in the corner of the room. Mirrors are a great way to open a space and brand a room feel bigger than it actually is. You willl also be seeing this floor mirror used for lots of endeavour-ons in the future!
GREENERY
Calculation greenery to a room is a MUST for me – I take plants or copse in every room of our abode. I chose matching raised planters to make full in this empty infinite in our sitting surface area. These matching plants are existent and I wish I knew the proper noun considering they are so low maintenance and easy to care for. The larger one was handed down to me and the smaller one I found at Trader Joes a few weeks agone (again, with no label!)
LIGHTING
– SAVE VS SPLURGE –
We have a an oversized chandelier hanging in the heart of our room. It has a low contour pattern which was chosen intentionally, not to obstruct the view out our windows. I get a lot of questions about the lighting in this room, so I decided to search for some 'save' options to share with you guys. I establish an exact dupe linked above!
– SAVE VS SPLURGE –
When we were edifice our house we decided to put sconces on either side of the bed, rather than having to worry about bedside table lamps. It was a great determination. Not only does it clear upwardly space on your tables, it looks chic too! These sconces come at high price tag, so I was happy to find a 'relieve' option to link for you above!
DRAPES
To assist accentuate the large windows and frame the beautiful view outside, we chose 108" linen drapes that were just long plenty to slightly pool on the basis. Nosotros also used a low contour coma blind to continue the lord's day from waking us! We chose an antiquarian gold curtain rod to span all three windows with matching rings to hang the drapes from. These are rod pocket curtains that I gathered and hung from rings to mimic the look of pleated drapes (without the loftier cost tag!)
HARDWARE
Ane of my favorite features in our home are the crystal door knobs we used throughout (they're inspired past my mother-in-laws beach house!) We used a clear crystal knob with oil rubbed bronze hardware. We used the smaller round backplate on all the upstairs doors and the larger rectangular backplate downstairs.
I think that nigh sums it upwardly! If you have any other questions or need additional links/info, feel free to email me. I'm looking forward to posting much more home content in the virtually future!
